These cheesy beef wraps are a quick and satisfying meal, featuring seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and fresh veggies wrapped in warm tortillas. Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • Optional: sliced jalapeños for heat

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute, stirring frequently.
  3. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Drain excess fat from the skillet. Season with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted.
  6. Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave for easy handling.
  7. Lay each tortilla flat and place a scoop of the beef filling in the center.
  8. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, jalapeños (if using), sour cream, and salsa.
  9. Fold the sides of the tortilla inwards and roll from the bottom up to create a tight wrap.
  10. In the skillet, heat more olive oil over medium heat. Place wraps seam-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until crispy. Remove and let cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the fillings with your favorite vegetables or additional toppings.
  • These wraps can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for a quick meal later.
  • For a healthier option, you can use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.
