April 22, 2025 by adminsnacks

This 3-ingredient flatbread is made with just oats, yogurt, and a pinch of salt β€” no yeast, no rising, no fuss. It’s soft, flexible, and perfect for wraps, dipping, or as a wholesome side to your favorite curries and soups.

Ingredients:

(Makes 4–6 flatbreads)

  • 1 cup rolled oats (or oat flour)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or any thick yogurt)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Optional:
    • 1/2 tsp baking powder (for fluffier texture)
    • Herbs, garlic powder, or spices for flavor

Instructions:

πŸ”„ 1. Make oat flour (if needed):

  • Blend rolled oats in a food processor or blender until you get a fine flour.

πŸ₯£ 2. Make the dough:

  • In a bowl, mix together the oat flour, yogurt, and salt (plus baking powder or spices if using).
  • Stir until a dough forms β€” it’ll be slightly sticky, but workable.
  • If it’s too wet, add a spoonful of oat flour. If it’s too dry, a bit more yogurt.

βœ‹ 3. Shape the flatbreads:

  • Divide the dough into 4–6 balls.
  • Roll each out between two sheets of parchment paper or with lightly floured hands to about 1/4 inch thick.

πŸ”₯ 4. Cook:

  • Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  • Cook each flatbread for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden spots appear and it puffs slightly.

Tips & Flavor Boosts:

βœ”οΈ Add chopped herbs (like parsley, cilantro, or dill) or spices (like cumin or za’atar) for variety.
βœ”οΈ Brush with olive oil or garlic butter after cooking for an extra flavor kick.
βœ”οΈ Want it crispy? Cook a bit longer on lower heat or toast it in the oven.

Serving Ideas:

  • Wraps or gyros
  • Dips like hummus or tzatziki
  • Breakfast base with eggs & avocado
  • Side for soups, curries, or salads

Wholesome, quick, and endlessly flexible – oatmeal yogurt flatbread is the healthy staple you didn’t know you needed! πŸŒΏπŸ«“ Want a vegan version too?
