Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 large flour tortillas (10–12 inch)
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes (optional)
- Lettuce leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Pound chicken breasts to even thickness. In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Rub the mixture all over the chicken. Marinate for at least 15 minutes (or longer in the refrigerator).
- Cook the Chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C). Alternatively, grill or bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes.
- Rest and Shred/Slice: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then shred or slice.
- Prepare the Bacon: Cook bacon until crispy using your preferred method (skillet, oven, or microwave). Crumble the bacon.
- Assemble the Wraps: Warm tortillas (optional). Spread ranch dressing on each tortilla. Sprinkle with cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese. Add chicken and crumbled bacon. Add optional toppings (green onions, tomatoes, lettuce).
- Fold the Wrap: Fold in the sides of the tortilla. Fold up the bottom edge tightly over the filling. Roll the wrap forward, keeping it tight. Secure with a toothpick if desired.
- Cook/Grill the Wraps (Optional): Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook wraps for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Serve: Let cool slightly before serving. Cut in half if desired.
Notes
- Cheese Variations: Experiment with pepper jack or provolone cheese.
- Vegetable Additions: Add diced avocado, bell peppers, or onions.
