- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Optional toppings: caramel sauce, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, chopped nuts
Instructions
- Prepare Apples: Wash, core, and cut apples into 8 wedges each. Toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Make Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture: Melt butter. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice (if using). Whisk together. Pour melted butter over spice mixture and stir until smooth.
- Coat Apples: Pour cinnamon-sugar mixture over apple wedges and toss to coat evenly.
- Air Fry: Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) if desired. Arrange apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 8-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and slightly caramelized.
- Serve: Remove from air fryer and cool slightly. Add optional toppings and serve immediately.
