Ingredients

  • 2 medium cucumbers
  • 4 stalks of celery
  • 1 large green apple
  • 1 lemon
  • 1-inch piece of ginger
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 1 cup of kale
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh mint leaves
  • 2 cups of filtered water
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly wash all fruits and vegetables under cold running water using a vegetable brush for cucumbers and apples.
  2. Peel the ginger and set aside.
  3. Cut cucumbers into quarters (skin on or off as preferred).
  4. Chop celery into smaller pieces.
  5. Core and chop the green apple into quarters (skin on for extra fiber).
  6. Cut the lemon in half and remove seeds.
  7. Rinse spinach and kale leaves and pat dry.
  8. Rinse mint leaves and pat dry; tear into smaller pieces to release flavor.
  9. Assemble your juicer according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  10. Juice the cucumbers first for a refreshing base.
  11. Add celery for hydration and flavor.
  12. Follow with the green apple for sweetness.
  13. Add ginger for a spicy kick.
  14. Juice spinach and kale for nutrients and color.
  15. Squeeze in lemon juice for zest.
  16. Pour the juice into a large pitcher and add filtered water to achieve desired consistency.
  17. Stir and taste; adjust sweetness with more apple or honey/agave, or add more lemon for tanginess.
  18. Add ice cubes to serving glasses, pour juice over ice, filling glasses three-quarters full.
  19. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lemon or cucumber on the rim.
  20. Sip slowly and appreciate the vibrant flavors and aromas of your juice.
