- 2 medium cucumbers
- 4 stalks of celery
- 1 large green apple
- 1 lemon
- 1-inch piece of ginger
- 1 cup of spinach
- 1 cup of kale
- 1 tablespoon of fresh mint leaves
- 2 cups of filtered water
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash all fruits and vegetables under cold running water using a vegetable brush for cucumbers and apples.
- Peel the ginger and set aside.
- Cut cucumbers into quarters (skin on or off as preferred).
- Chop celery into smaller pieces.
- Core and chop the green apple into quarters (skin on for extra fiber).
- Cut the lemon in half and remove seeds.
- Rinse spinach and kale leaves and pat dry.
- Rinse mint leaves and pat dry; tear into smaller pieces to release flavor.
- Assemble your juicer according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Juice the cucumbers first for a refreshing base.
- Add celery for hydration and flavor.
- Follow with the green apple for sweetness.
- Add ginger for a spicy kick.
- Juice spinach and kale for nutrients and color.
- Squeeze in lemon juice for zest.
- Pour the juice into a large pitcher and add filtered water to achieve desired consistency.
- Stir and taste; adjust sweetness with more apple or honey/agave, or add more lemon for tanginess.
- Add ice cubes to serving glasses, pour juice over ice, filling glasses three-quarters full.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lemon or cucumber on the rim.
