Ingredients

4 cups whole milk (or half-and-half for extra creaminess)

1/2 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (high quality)

Instructions

Warm the Milk Base:
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine milk and heavy cream. Heat until hot but not boiling. -
Add Chocolate & Cocoa:
Whisk in cocoa powder, sugar, chocolate chips, and salt. Stir constantly until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth and velvety. -
Add Vanilla:
Stir in vanilla extract. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 2–3 minutes to deepen the flavor.
