Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pie crust (9-inch)
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled sausage (preferably breakfast sausage)
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the crumbled sausage until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  4. Mix in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until well combined.
  5. Add the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  6. Gently fold the cooked sausage into the egg and cheese mixture.
  7. Place the pre-made pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish. Optionally, pre-bake the crust for about 10 minutes for a crispier texture.
  8. Carefully pour the sausage and cheese mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  9. Sprinkle extra shredded cheese on top if desired.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10-15 minutes to allow the filling to set.
  12. Slice into wedges and serve warm or at room temperature. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
