- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

- 1 cup of breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
- 1/2 cup of honey
- 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Slice the chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the two large eggs until well combined.
- Place the breadcrumbs in another bowl.
- Coat each chicken strip in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off excess flour.
- Dip the floured chicken strip into the egg mixture, ensuring it is fully coated.
- Roll the chicken strip in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat for all strips.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or olive oil.
- Arrange the breaded chicken strips on the baking sheet in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching.
- Drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil over the chicken strips.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/75°C).
- In a small saucepan, combine honey and BBQ sauce over medium heat, stirring until well combined and heated through (3-5 minutes).
- Remove the sauce from heat and set aside.
- Once the chicken strips are done, let them cool for a couple of minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the baked chicken strips and pour the honey BBQ sauce over them. Toss gently to coat.
- Transfer the coated chicken strips to a serving platter and garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces on the side.
