Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz. of your favorite noodles (egg noodles or spaghetti recommended)
- 1 lb. of steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil (about 1 tablespoon of salt).
- Add the noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente (usually 6-8 minutes).
- Drain the noodles in a colander and toss with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Let the steak sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
- Pat the steak dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it.
- Flip the steak and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare (130°F), or longer for desired doneness.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the butter. Let it melt and bubble, scraping up browned bits.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce, and add red pepper flakes if desired. Simmer for another minute.
- Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips.
- Add the drained noodles to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Add the sliced steak and toss everything together until well combined and heated through. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Plate the garlic butter steak noodles in large bowls.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For added nutrition, consider incorporating sautéed vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas.
