Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz. of your favorite noodles (egg noodles or spaghetti recommended)
  • 1 lb. of steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil (about 1 tablespoon of salt).
  2. Add the noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente (usually 6-8 minutes).
  3. Drain the noodles in a colander and toss with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Let the steak sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Pat the steak dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
  6. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it.
  7. Flip the steak and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare (130°F), or longer for desired doneness.
  8. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
  9. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the butter. Let it melt and bubble, scraping up browned bits.
  10. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  11. Stir in soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce, and add red pepper flakes if desired. Simmer for another minute.
  12. Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips.
  13. Add the drained noodles to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  14. Add the sliced steak and toss everything together until well combined and heated through. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  15. Plate the garlic butter steak noodles in large bowls.
  16. Garnish with chopped green onions and fresh parsley.
  17. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added nutrition, consider incorporating sautéed vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas.
  • Adjust the level of heat by modifying the amount of red pepper flakes.
