- Strawberries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, add the sliced strawberries.
- Sprinkle the granulated sugar over the strawberries.
- Add the fresh lemon juice.
- Using a fork or potato masher, gently mash the strawberries to create a chunky, syrupy consistency.
- Let the mixture sit for about 10-15 minutes to allow the sugar to dissolve and the strawberries to release their juices.
- In a large glass or pitcher, combine the strawberry mixture with the club soda.
- Pour in the lemon-lime soda.
- Gently stir the mixture to combine without losing carbonation.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the strawberry soda mixture over the ice, filling the glass about three-quarters full.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves and/or whole strawberries if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For a berry blend, mix in other berries like blueberries or raspberries.
- For an alcoholic version, add a splash of vodka or rum.
- For an herbal twist, muddle basil or rosemary with the strawberries.
- To make it a slush, blend the strawberry mixture with ice.
