Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium beet, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen, such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 cup spinach or kale (optional for added nutrition)
  • 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional, for added fiber and omega-3s)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for a chilled smoothie)

Instructions

  1. Peel the beet and chop it into small cubes. Wear gloves to avoid staining.
  2. Rinse fresh berries under cold water and remove stems. If using frozen berries, no need to thaw.
  3. Slice the banana into smaller pieces for easier blending.
  4. Rinse spinach or kale leaves thoroughly and pat dry.
  5. Measure out almond milk, honey or maple syrup, chia seeds, and ice cubes.
  6. Start with the chopped beet, followed by mixed berries, banana slices, and greens (if using).
  7. Add almond milk to help blend the ingredients smoothly.
  8. Add honey or maple syrup for sweetness, adjusting to taste.
  9. Toss in chia seeds for extra nutrition.
  10. Add ice cubes if you prefer a chilled smoothie.
  11. Blend on high for 30-60 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  12. Adjust thickness by adding more almond milk or frozen berries as needed.
  13. Adjust sweetness or add lemon juice for tang if desired.
  14. Serve in your favorite glasses, like mason jars for a rustic touch.
  15. Garnish with whole berries, chia seeds, or banana slices if desired.
  16. Smoothies are best enjoyed fresh, so dig in right away!

Notes

  • Store any leftover smoothie in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Shake or stir before drinking.
