Sweet, smoky, and irresistibly savory—these bite-sized salmon pieces are wrapped in crispy bacon and glazed with a sticky maple bourbon sauce. Perfect for parties, game day, or as an upscale appetizer that’s shockingly easy to make!
1 lb (450g) fresh salmon, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
8 slices bacon, cut in half crosswise
Salt & black pepper, to taste
Toothpicks (for securing)
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
2 tbsp bourbon
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
1 garlic clove, finely minced
In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup, bourbon, Dijon, soy sauce, paprika, and garlic.
Simmer over low heat for 5–7 minutes, until slightly thickened. Set aside.
Wrap each salmon cube with half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Oven method:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place salmon bites on a wire rack over a lined baking sheet.
Bake for 15–18 minutes, brushing with glaze halfway through and again near the end.
Broil for the last 2 minutes to crisp the bacon if desired.
Air fryer method:
Cook at 390°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping and glazing halfway.
Serve hot with extra glaze on the side.
Garnish with chopped chives, parsley, or a squeeze of lemon for freshness.
