Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
8 slices of bacon, chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 package of crescent roll dough (8 oz)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chopped bacon. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Use a slotted spoon to transfer the crispy bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the skillet.
In the same skillet, add the ground beef. Break it up with a spatula and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese until well combined. Set aside to cool slightly.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Open the crescent roll dough package and unroll it onto a clean, flat surface to form a large rectangle.
Pinch the seams together to create a solid sheet of dough.
Using a rolling pin, gently roll the dough out to make it slightly thinner and larger.
Take a generous scoop of the beef and cheese mixture and place it at the wider end of the crescent roll dough (about 2-3 tablespoons of filling).
Carefully roll the dough over the filling, starting from the wide end and tucking in the sides as you roll.
Place the rollup seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat with the remaining filling and dough.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and minced garlic. Stir well.
Using a pastry brush, generously brush the garlic butter over the tops of each rollup.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Keep an eye on them towards the end of the baking time to prevent over-browning.
Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, you can sprinkle some extra cheese on top before baking.
These rollups can be served with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or marinara.
