Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 package of crescent roll dough (8 oz)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chopped bacon. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the crispy bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add the ground beef. Break it up with a spatula and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  4. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese until well combined. Set aside to cool slightly.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Open the crescent roll dough package and unroll it onto a clean, flat surface to form a large rectangle.
  8. Pinch the seams together to create a solid sheet of dough.
  9. Using a rolling pin, gently roll the dough out to make it slightly thinner and larger.
  10. Take a generous scoop of the beef and cheese mixture and place it at the wider end of the crescent roll dough (about 2-3 tablespoons of filling).
  11. Carefully roll the dough over the filling, starting from the wide end and tucking in the sides as you roll.
  12. Place the rollup seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat with the remaining filling and dough.
  13. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and minced garlic. Stir well.
  14. Using a pastry brush, generously brush the garlic butter over the tops of each rollup.
  15. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  16. Keep an eye on them towards the end of the baking time to prevent over-browning.
  17. Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can sprinkle some extra cheese on top before baking.
