🫓 Oatmeal Yogurt Flatbread – Soft, Simple & Super Nourishing! 💪🌾

April 22, 2025 by adminsnacks

This 3-ingredient flatbread is made with just oats, yogurt, and a pinch of salt — no yeast, no rising, no fuss. It’s soft, flexible, and perfect for wraps, dipping, or as a wholesome side to your favorite curries and soups.

Ingredients:

(Makes 4–6 flatbreads)

  • 1 cup rolled oats (or oat flour)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or any thick yogurt)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Optional:
    • 1/2 tsp baking powder (for fluffier texture)
    • Herbs, garlic powder, or spices for flavor

Instructions:

🔄 1. Make oat flour (if needed):

  • Blend rolled oats in a food processor or blender until you get a fine flour.

🥣 2. Make the dough:

  • In a bowl, mix together the oat flour, yogurt, and salt (plus baking powder or spices if using).
  • Stir until a dough forms — it’ll be slightly sticky, but workable.
  • If it’s too wet, add a spoonful of oat flour. If it’s too dry, a bit more yogurt.

✋ 3. Shape the flatbreads:

  • Divide the dough into 4–6 balls.
  • Roll each out between two sheets of parchment paper or with lightly floured hands to about 1/4 inch thick.

🔥 4. Cook:

  • Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  • Cook each flatbread for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden spots appear and it puffs slightly.

Tips & Flavor Boosts:

✔️ Add chopped herbs (like parsley, cilantro, or dill) or spices (like cumin or za’atar) for variety.
✔️ Brush with olive oil or garlic butter after cooking for an extra flavor kick.
✔️ Want it crispy? Cook a bit longer on lower heat or toast it in the oven.

Serving Ideas:

  • Wraps or gyros
  • Dips like hummus or tzatziki
  • Breakfast base with eggs & avocado
  • Side for soups, curries, or salads

Wholesome, quick, and endlessly flexible – oatmeal yogurt flatbread is the healthy staple you didn’t know you needed! 🌿🫓 Want a vegan version too?
