(Makes about 2 cups)
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp milk (or cream, for extra richness)
1 cup all-purpose flour, heat-treated (see below)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips (or chunks, mini, white, whatever you love!)
To make raw flour safe to eat:
Spread it on a baking sheet.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes, stirring once.
Let it cool completely before using.
Cream the butter and sugars in a bowl until light and fluffy.
Mix in the vanilla and milk.
Add the heat-treated flour and salt, mix until dough forms.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
